Education has a vital importance in our life having knowledge and awareness of anything and everything. Studies have shown that the most important period of a child’s life is its first five years. Children are capable of learning from a very early age, so it is ideal to expose them to a nurturing and educational environment during those years. By providing an environment that is fun-filled, safe and stimulating, you can ensure that your child gets off to a great start. As your child grows older, consider giving your child some household duties or chores. Be sure to encourage your child through positive affirmation of his/her actions by gradually doing these small things from childhood onwards.
It reflected in improved grades and test scores, strong attendance, a higher rate of homework completion, higher graduation rates, improved attitudes and behaviours in the child, as well as the child being more likely to become involved in positive extra-curricular activities. Send out the message early in your child’s education that your home is an involved and active supporter of their learning. Probably the most important element of a positive learning environment at home is structure. But what is too little or too much? So what’s the best way to meet in the middle and create a positive learning environment for your child at home? Help your child develop a work area where they can study and focus without being interrupted. Children usually do better when they have a private study area away from interruption. Make sure your child has plenty of supplies and reference materials available and that the area has plenty of light. Ensure the area is quiet and that your child can study and work uninterrupted. Maintain a regular time/routine for studying.

West-South-West zone grants capability for Vidya Abhyaas, as also the power, energy and capacity for retention of that knowledge. Ideally the Children’s bed room should be located here. Otherwise children’s books are to be kept in this zone for excellence. Not only are children’s books a great way to keep kids occupied, but they help them to learn as well. Good children’s books are proven to appeal to kids and keep them engaged and interested. In general, children’s books are books that were written specifically for children. Think about the things that interest your child, such as sports or music, and try to find stories about those topics.
These days most of the parents are concerned about their children’s studies that they are not spending much time in productive activities. Children who are paying not much attention towards their studies, their study table should be placed in the zone of studies i.e. West-South-West (WSW) zone so as to draw their natural inclination towards studies. Objects like washing machine or objects related to fire — Burner, if placed in WSW zone will create hindrance in child’s studies. Similarly, to make the best use of computers meant to be used by children at home, place them along the western wall. Different zones are meant to be balanced for children of different years. There are basically 4 zones for the same; West-South-West, South-West, North-east & East-South-East. Many people approach me for guidance on how they can improve their children’s studies.
